Welcome to the Terms and Conditions for Celebration Invitations for handcrafted wedding stationery, Graphic designs, Photographic work, drawings and printing techniques which apply to the use of www.celebrationinvitations.co.uk therefore by accessing the website and placing an order you agree and are bound by these terms and conditions. So please take a little time to read through them carefully.
For the most part our service is a bespoke handcrafted service, sometimes items may vary slightly, for example, in shade or placement as they are all individually handmade and assembled, therefore any slight differences are not a fault in the design.
As the company is continually adding different types of products, designs and printing techniques it is important that where items need a colour matching as close as possible to your wishes, a swatch of material, a sweet wrapper or whatever is the closest match of your chosen colour scheme will be very helpful if you can send this to us, as a close match from the computer screen is not always a true match. We can take no responsibility if items do not match if you have failed to send us a sample of your chosen colours.
We make every effort to ensure the best quality materials are used at all times. As far as is possible we use paper and card from paper suppliers who use environmentally accredited products. We try where possible to use ribbons which are British made.
Where Gold, Silver, pearl or gemstones are mentioned on this site it refers only to the colour of the item and not its composition.

Please ensure you have obtained permission to use any items/wording/images/designs you send or ask us to use within your stationery design as we cannot be held responsible for any breach of copyright. Any graphic designs or hand drawn items will carry an art work set up fee of £18
By sending us your personal details means you agree with our terms and conditions and you agree to us using information about you to complete your order and contact you about your order.
The personal details we will require from you are:
Name, Postal address, email address and phone number, date of your special occasion and venue. If you would like us to personalise your guests invitation/ place names etc., then we will need their names too. We are also happy to address the guest envelopes for you in which case we will also require the guests postal address.
We will keep all details held about you securely until the date of your special occasion in case you should require extra items at the last minute. After this time we will delete all electronic details and will NEVER pass your information onto anyone else without your full permission.
Photographs are taken of your stationery collection, in order to help and inspire others. You are welcome and are encouraged to send photographs of you on your special day, if you wish, We will credit your photographer when using your images on our facebook and twitter page. There is no obligation to agree to this on your part and we will fully respect your decision. We will NEVER publish images of your stationery collection until after your special occasion, or return from honeymoon without your permission, so as not to spoil any surprises you may have in store and also for safety reasons. If you do send images of guests please make sure they have no objection to their images being posted on our social media sites.
Proofs and samples
The way we work to produce your stationery, is to obtain as much information relating to your ideas and chosen design as possible , either via, email, telephone or meeting you personally for a no obligation design consultation by prior arrangement. From there we will produce several variations based on the information you give us and send images via an email. From this information we ask you to indicate which design you prefer and we will send you up to 2 free proofs to see and edit. Any further proofs/samples will be charged at £10 each which will be refunded if you place an order from that extra sample.
Please read the proof carefully as once you accept a proof at this stage as being correct and you email to tell us you are willing for us to commence production of your order then a 50% non refundable deposit will be due. Samples will only be posted and order production commenced when full payment has been received and cleared.The remaining 50% payment will be due when you receive your completed order.
Items which have been found to be incorrectly edited by you will result in the additional amended invitations being costs along with the cost of your original order, so please edit proofs very carefully.
Any defective oversight on our part should be returned within 5 working days by Royal Mail recorded delivery or we cannot guarantee a replacement. We will refund the postage and will contact you to make arrangements for replacement or refund.
You will be able to customize stationery shown on the website. All art work will carry a £18 fee in addtion to the cost of any stationery produced. We will email photographs of samples of your choice for approval. Once you are happy with the email image we will send you up to 2 free proofs to see and edit. Any further proofs/samples will be charged at £10 each which will be refunded if you place your order from that extra sample. A 50% non refundable deposit will be due when you are happy with your choice .
How to order
We have tried to make ordering stationery as easy as possible. However, as the combination of elements in our stationery is almost endless, we have put designs on the website which can all be amended to suit your personal taste, colour and theme yet help you stay within your budget. Click onto the contact form and enter the details you would like to use within your stationery. Prices have been supplied to start at very basic affordable stationery ie. a flat card, to more elaborate and decorative items which are reflected in the cost. We are offering this choice purposely to enable you to create your stationery collection to fit your budget.
Delivery and returns
These conditions apply to delivery in UK. Please contact us for costs and methods of delivery overseas.
Due to the bespoke and personalised nature of our business, we do not accept returns.
Orders will be despatched as soon as possible by Royal Mail or Courier once you have accepted your stationery proof. This will usually be within 10 working days but every effort will be made to reduce this time considerably where possible and goods may be delivered in advance of any delivery date quoted. A signature will be required on receipt of your parcel in order for us both to fully track your order. Special printing techniques such as letterpress, foiling or thermography will take longer and you will be advised of lead times once your order has been placed.
If you prefer us to send your order by 1st or 2nd class Royal mail post then we can arrange this. You should be aware that although this will cost less it may not be as secure, and in every instance, once items have left our premises we are no longer liable for parcels should they become lost, damaged or delayed.
Postage cost will depend on the weight and size of each parcel.
If work load permits orders can be dispatched urgently but this will incur extra cost. Please contact us if you need items urgently.
Orders will be produced as quickly as possible, however, some hold ups may be out of our control. Therefore, we can not be held responsible if unable to carry out any order for any reason beyond our control including, Act of God, war, legislation, flood, fire, drought, ice, snow, failure of power supply, inadequacy and unsuitability of any instructions or information given to us by any customer in whatever format, electronic or otherwise, inability to obtain materials required to complete any order which are out of our control.
All items on this site are priced individually in GBP (£) and will be charged as shown on the date an order is placed. However, should a product increase in price further than we are able to absorb, this extra cost will unfortunately have to be passed on to you, the customer. Postage and packing are NOT included in these prices but instead will be added on before delivery to you. If you live locally we are happy to deliver or you are more than welcome to pick up your order by mutual arrangement. Any quote given will last for 3 months after which time another quote may be necessary due to circumstances beyond our control. Eg. our suppliers increase their costs which we can no longer absorb.
Our chosen method of postage will be the least expensive. We will use either Royal Mail Recorded delivery or a Courier service to ensure we can both check the delivery progress. We will email you to let you know your parcel has been despatched. Within the email we will include the tracking number, allowing you to track your parcel should you wish to do so. This method of postage is often more expensive than ordinary 1st & 2nd class postage, however, if you would rather we despatched your order by 1st and 2nd class post, please ask but we do not accept any responsibility should items be lost, damaged or delayed.
Recorded and courier delivery will require a signature on delivery of your parcel in order to provide proof of receipt. Please ensure someone will be able to provide a signature. It is not possible to give exact delivery times. This is beyond our control and we do not accept any responsibility for this.
We accept payment by cash, cheques, bank transfer or paypal.
We will contact you via email with bank details for bank transfer and address to make any payments via Cheque, which should be made payable to : Helen Allen.
Cancellation of orders
Are subject to any cost incurred. This will include any preparation of proofs and/or artwork carried out to the time of cancellation.
Contacting Celebration Invitations
If you need to contact us for whatever reason, an email would be the best way, as we are usually busy producing stationery and possibly unable to answer the telephone.
A good percentage of our clients are by recommendation or return, so don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have any further celebrations you would like us to help with.
